Medical Students and Registrars
Our Practice is a training and teaching practice. Our registrars are fully qualified doctors and have a great deal of hospital experience. Registrars are attached to our Practice for their training and become GPs after completing their training. At all times they are overseen by one of the GP partners. When booking an appointment you may be asked if you would see one of our registrars. We also have medical students attached to the practice. With the patient’s consent they may sit in with the GP and learn about general practice.

Reception
The reception team are trained to help you make appointments, deal with any queries you may have and add to the care patients receive at Riversdale. They have been asked by the Doctors to ask you some questions before making you an appointment, either telephone or face to face, to ensure you are put with the appropriate clinician for the appropriate amount of time.
Secretaries
We have 3 secretaries at the practice dealing with administration including hospital referrals. If you have to cancel/re-arrange a hospital appointment please contact the hospital not the practice secretaries. If you wish to speak to or leave a message for the doctors, you may do this via the secretaries.
PCN Staff
Primary Care Networks were introduced in 2019 as part of the NHS Long Term plan. As the population grows and people live longer, often with more complex needs, GP services have had to adapt to these changing needs.
GP practices are working together with community, mental health, social care, pharmacy, hospital and voluntary services in local areas in groups of practices known as Primary Care Networks.
