Riversdale will be closed for staff training from 1:30 - 3:00 on Wednesday afternoons, usually the second or third Wednesday of the month. We will be open as usual for Surgeries.
If you are on long term medication, your details will be on the Practice computer. This allows you to order your medication without seeing the doctor but does not replace the need for you to see the doctor for regular review at intervals to discuss your medication and make sure it is still the right one. The review date will appear on your repeat prescription slip.
To order please fill in the back of the computer slip attached to your prescription and deliver it to the office, either in person or by mail or email us on our prescription email - address
email@example.com . You can also request repeat prescriptions over the web site but please be aware that you will need to re-register with the surgery with new user name and password. Any old log in information from the old system will not work. You also need to be aware that if you send personal information from an unsecured location such as a personal email host it is unsecured information and similar to a postcard being sent through the mail. If you choose to supply confidential information in this manner, you do so at your own risk.
Please allow 2 working days for processing.
We can arrange for your prescription to be collected by a Belper chemist if you wish.
We regret we cannot accept requests over the telephone as inaccuracies or serious mistakes could occur.
Extensive exemption and remission arrangements protect those likely to have difficulty in paying charges (NHS prescription and dental charges, optical and hospital travel costs). The NHS prescription charge is a flat-rate amount which successive Governments have thought it reasonable to charge for those who can afford to pay for their medicines. Prescription prepayment certificates (PPCs) offer real savings for people who need extensive medication.
These charges apply in England only. In Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales prescriptions are free of charge.
If you will have to pay for four or more prescription items in three months, or more than 14 items in 12 months, you may find it cheaper to buy a PPC.
There is further information about prescription exemptions and fees on the NHS website
Please allow 48 hours, excluding weekends and Bank Holidays, for your request to be processed. Any problems please telephone the surgery.
